The Harrison Neighborhood

This state park is considered Denver's backyard. It's close to downtown Denver (about 17 miles away, less than a half hour), and it has just about every outdoor activity you could want to experience in Colorado: camping, hiking, bird-watching, fishing, boating, swimming, volleyball and more!

Aurora Reservoir offers fishing, sailing, non-motorized boating, windsurfing, a seasonal swim beach, SCUBA area, archery range, and large group picnic shelters. Stroll or ride your bike on the 8 mile multi-use, concrete trail that circles the reservoir.

A local and regional history, arts and cultural center with exhibits and programs for all ages. Main exhibit features nearly 100 historic photos, artifacts from Aurora's military history & a one-of-a-kind fully-restored 1913 trolley that used to run along Colfax Ave.
